Almond croissant

Ingredients 

Yield: 4 almond croissants

4 pieces of frozen croissants

  • Unsalted butter, softened   100 g
  • Granulated sugar 100 g
  • Almond powder  100 g
  • 2 eggs

 

  • Sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar  

 


Instructions 

  1.  Let the frozen croissants [A] thaw at room temperature.


  2.  Soften the butter until smooth. Add the sugar and mix until well combined. Then add the eggs and mix well, and finally add the almond flour and mix thoroughly until smooth. 

  3.  Cut each croissant in half horizontally. Spread a layer of almond cream inside the croissant and close it.

  4. Spread a thin layer of almond cream on top and sprinkle with sliced almonds.

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170–180°C for about 15-20 minutes, until golden.
  6. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving if needed.
